Christmas dinner #3 at Sven's house! We danced around the tree holding hands and singing CHristmas songs with all of Tord's 20 year old friends - no joke! LOVE it! I also ate anchovies plain and then cow's tongue...couldn't swallow the cow's tongue. BUT there were 6 different salads with different preparations of Herring - now that is Norwegian!

First time telemark skiing! Woohoo and I kicked Kelsey's butt with it, even ask her! And then after that - the giant jump (made for the olympians!) I did it no problem...tucked it down all the way until I flew up hundreds of feet in the air...and a perfect finish! What a day.

And again, the python/crocodile/kangaroo/ostrich masterpiece!

Christmas dinner again, Therald and his Dad in beautiful Christmas pants, and then the next night: Tord, Kelsey, and my masterpiece 4 course meal!

Our plates of the day include:

-Poached Python Salad

-Grilled Crocodile Appetizer on Rice with Mango Salsa and slice of avocado

-Main Dish of Bacon-wrapped Ostrich (lightly grilled) with a mushroom purée sauce, Seared Kangaroo married with a broccoli purée, and Cinnamon carrots à la Kelsey

Christmas day!

More of cleaning the bird with Tord's parents, then the start of CHRISTMAS EVE! Therald and David pose in their slick attire :)

THEN: Dancing around the Christmas tree holding hands and singing songs (I know, SO AWESOME!), and after: Christmas day dinner at a family friend's house with LOTS of food, meat, and 8 different desserts!!! Shown: the tower = the Norwegian original Christmas cookie tower! It tasted a little bit like a chewy cookie with marzipan or some sort of almost paste in it! Delicious!

And a blast to the past - NORWAY!!! I was looking at these pics this weekend and was sad that I never posted them, but I did that only because...

there are too many amazing ones!!! So here we go....

First night in Norway: cleaning the birds (that Tord's dad hunted over the summer) for Christmas Eve dinner the next day!

We also decorated the Christmas tree (lights and all) and then Kelsey and Tord's master technical skills fixed therald's toy machine! Nice work master mustache and queen UCLA engineering :)

Also, Tord in his AMAZING and giant poofy Northface jacket! I might have stole that once or twice during the trip...

St. Martin de Belleville once again - my friends searching with their avalanche beakers (to prove that I am learning to be a real mountaineer), ...

a dream chalet on the hill, and then the sun and snow on my walkway at home in Lyon!
