PRAGUE!

Prague is definitely one of the top most magical cities I have explored. I am sure that having Kelsey there helped, as well as having it be covered in lights and Christmas markets, but I am sure that it is magical year-round. Kelsey and I started out in a great hotel with beautiful white beds and a breakfast buffet! The Prague breakfast consisted of sausages (like little hot-dogs), eggs, little open-faced sandwiches with ham/peppers/eggs/pickles, cereals, yogurt, and pastries of course! It reminded me of a german breakfast.

Then we headed out to explore! Right down the road there was a huge Christmas market with many specialties of Prague sold

by local artists and shown is also the specific Czech pastry specialties! They also had these weird cinnamon roll smelling things (shown) that were cooked wrapped around a thick pole so when they were pulled off they had a giant whole in the middle! Never seen that before!

And the tramway system was all electric - super cool!

The red candles around the statue were actually just our luck - we happened to come 2 days after their former president had dies (tear, not the lucky part) and so the whole city was in morning and it was covered with candles! They loved this president and it was sad to see them so sad but neat how they decorated the city in his honor! The only difficulty with that part was that they put his body in the huge famous castle for people to visit (and French President Sarkozy and Bill Clinton came to the castle for the funeral during this time) and so the whole castle was closed down to tourists! Kelsey and I tried to get in line to see the body but the line wrapped around the entire castle (biggest castle in the world) and so it would have taken at least 3 hours just to pay our respects!
