Ok so it is beautiful here! I love it!! They have a special spot for my guitar to sit in the living room and these huge amazing windows open up to look over the whole city, a panaramic view! There are flowers on the window sill and there is a fountain below the house that blocks out all of the annoying car and city noise. My room has a big queen bed with pink and orange striped bedding and a huge window that is always open as well. YES!!!

Sylvie and Fred are really cute and hilarious. I ate dinner with them at around 8:30pm, and since Sylvie was tired from a long day, she made "an easy dinner" which consisted of:
a green salad with walnuts
another tomato salad with large fresh slices of tomato and mozzerella and vinegar
tabouli (VERY popular here) which is couscous with bell peppers, other veggies, and raisins
cute little delicious potatos
and...
Andouillette, which is a very Lyonnaise sort of casserole, consisting of PIG INTESTINES, and many other spices and bread and such (And I liked it!) they told me it was a type of sausage, but that is all they would tell me, but I looked it up earlier because I thought I had heard it was something like intestines) Hello France :)

Then after they brought over a big bowl of fruit with grapes, nectarines, plums, apples, and bananas
THEN we had espresso (perfect right before a night out on the town) and added a small piece of dark chocolate instead of sugar to make it taste extra good.

I am still full at 1:30pm the next day, and that was a light easy dinner! So much for the French not eating much. I am never eating out again! I just want to eat here!

The funny thing about Sylvie and Fred is that they are quirky and kind of unpredictable. Sylvie acts like she is used to foreign exchange students and so she just welcomed me in, showed me everything in the house that I needed to know, and started making dinner! She showed me their bread drawer, which is under the stove and it is a shallow drawer with a cutting board, a bread knife, and a loaf of bread that will always be stocked! Very French! And They have lots of tea and all kinds of jars with nuts all over the kitchen in the cupboards and on the counter! And she already bought me soy milk, and I just saw another in the cupboard to back it up. I am totally set! And Fred came home and was friendly right off the bat! They are both quirky, but I like it!

The only thing I just realized is that I never asked Sylvie and Fred if they smoke! I asked the other people, but I forgot these 2. And guess what? The first thing they did when Fred got home was they both kicked back in front of the open window and lit up a cigarette with their hands hanging outside! And Sylvie started yelling at Fred for getting his ashes in her flower pots. It surprised me, but luckily they only smoke by the window and the house doesn't smell bad at all, so hopefully it never really bugs me! I am definitely getting more familiar with having smoke around me, because a lot of my friends smoke, but I wouldn't quite say I am used to it. I don't think I will ever get comfortable with it. It just burns my throat too much to just be around it! But I smell it on the streets everywhere I go and it is totally common and accepted here for everyone. I see teens even smoking with their parents at the restaurants!

Haha omg Fred just came home for lunch and asked me to change seats at the table because he is eating at his certain seat for lunch!

Ok lunch time, au revoir!
