a medieval royal palace, but the ice skating rink had a bridge going over the middle of it so people walked over us and waved as we skated by! And even better - the rink broke off into a huge ice maze where you skated around all sorts of circles and twists and paths for a long time while dancing to the music and trying to find your way out. During that part the rink was sometimes a bit on a slope (unintentional) so it definitely tested our skating skills...
And before that we went to this beautiful café where they made cakes and pastries galore, like this frosting bow, and you could watch them make it! Then, with Vienna's claim to some of the best coffee in the world, we tried cappuccinos from a booklet menu of different choices - each coming with different spices, liquors, or cream/milk consistencies!
